Run AI search visibility with AgentixSEO, without the manual work.
A client asks why a competitor appears in an AI answer and they do not. Your team then spends hours rerunning prompts, checking citations and rewriting pages, often without a stable baseline that shows whether anything improved.

The manual workflow, step by step.
For a typical weekly review of one client location and a focused set of services, allow about 150 minutes for manual checks, analysis, one content update and client notes. Initial setup and major site repairs sit outside this recurring workflow.
- Step 1Time sink
Rebuild the question list
Translate search terms into buyer questions: which provider to choose, what a service costs, who qualifies and how alternatives compare. Teams often change the wording each week, making the next visibility check hard to compare.
Semrush and Google SheetsSEO strategist - Step 2Time sink
Check answers across three surfaces
Run the same questions, record whether Google shows an AI Overview, and capture brand mentions, linked citations and recommended competitors. Note the date, location context and exact prompt rather than saving screenshots alone.
ChatGPT, Gemini and Google SearchSEO analyst - Step 3
Inspect the cited sources
Open the cited pages and identify what they contribute: a clear answer, original evidence, local details or a useful comparison. Separate a competitor's own website from directories and editorial sources that mention them.
Google Search and Google SheetsSEO strategist - Step 4Time sink
Rewrite and publish the priority page
Add a direct answer, verify service claims, request missing evidence and check the rendered page. Time disappears when the writer needs prices, service boundaries or credentials that only the client can confirm.
WordPressContent editor and client subject expert - Step 5Time sink
Explain what changed
Compare the latest observations with the baseline and annotate published changes. Distinguish a new citation from a simple brand mention, and avoid presenting one favorable answer as a lasting gain.
Google SheetsAccount manager
Repeated collection consumes specialist time
A strategist can spend more of the weekly review copying answers and citation URLs than deciding which client page deserves attention.
Inconsistent checks create misleading reports
Changing prompts, location context or the definition of visibility can make ordinary answer variation look like progress or decline. The account manager then has to explain a result the team cannot reproduce.
Unverified content creates rework and trust risk
Publishing a confident answer about unsupported prices, qualifications or service coverage can trigger client corrections. Reporting that content as an AI search win before repeated checks adds another avoidable client conversation.
The better way
The same job in AgentixSEO.
Use AgentixSEO to bring visibility tracking, scheduled content and site fixes into the weekly workflow. A typical focused review takes about 60 minutes per client, including checking the observations, validating content and approving changes. Keep strategic decisions and factual sign-off with the agency.
- 1
Review visibility before choosing the work
AI search trackingSee the client's visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Use those observations to choose the service or buying question worth investigating, rather than starting with another generic article.
You approve: Review the visibility observations and select the priority question and destination page.
- 2
Prepare content around a real answer gap
Daily contentUse articles in the client's brand voice to address questions buyers actually ask. Keep each article focused on a useful answer, supported by client facts rather than invented experience or credentials.
You approve: Check factual claims, location relevance, original evidence and the publication schedule before content goes live.
- 3
Put approved site fixes live
One-line installUse the one-line install so fixes go live on the client's site without touching their code. Keep the approved scope narrow enough that your team can inspect the affected pages after the change.
You approve: Review the proposed fixes and affected pages before they touch the client account, then inspect the live result.
- 4
Check visibility again and choose the next action
AI search trackingReturn to visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews during the next review. Compare the observations with your change log and decide whether to strengthen the same topic or address a different gap.
You approve: Review the interpretation before telling the client that visibility has improved. Treat isolated appearances as observations, not proof of sustained progress.
The playbook
AI Search Visibility: Practical Guide
- 01
Build a fixed buyer-question panel
Start with 12 to 20 questions across discovery, comparison, qualification and purchase decisions. Keep branded questions separate from unbranded questions. Include local context only where it affects the buying decision, and preserve the wording for the baseline period.
Operator tip: Keep exploratory prompts in a separate list. Adding easier questions to the main panel can make visibility appear stronger without any change in performance.
- 02
Define what counts before measuring
Record brand mention, owned-site citation and explicit recommendation as separate outcomes. For Google, record whether an AI Overview appeared at all. Keep platform results separate so changes in one surface do not hide weakness in another.
Operator tip: For Google citation share, use checks where an AI Overview appeared as the denominator, and report Overview appearance separately. A missing Overview is not the same as an Overview that omitted the client.
- 03
Diagnose the source gap, not just the missing mention
Inspect sources cited for the priority questions. Determine whether the answer relies on provider pages, independent reviews, directories, research or comparison articles. Then decide whether the client needs a stronger owned page, corrected third-party information or better evidence.
Operator tip: A directory citation may support a provider recommendation without linking to the provider's website. Log the source domain and the business mentioned so you do not confuse source visibility with brand visibility.
- 04
Make the priority page clear and verifiable
Put a direct answer near the relevant heading, followed by conditions, evidence and a useful next step. State who the service is for, where it is available and what changes the answer. Check crawl access, indexability, canonical URLs and internal links before adding more copy.
Operator tip: Read the answer paragraph without the page title. If phrases such as 'we offer this' lose their meaning, name the service and provider naturally so the passage remains understandable on its own.
- 05
Add evidence that generic content cannot supply
Ask the client for service limits, documented processes, current credentials and approved examples. Use those facts where they resolve uncertainty. Check that business details agree across the website and important third-party profiles.
Operator tip: Maintain a claim ledger with the claim, supporting source, client approver and review date. Facts such as eligibility rules and service coverage need rechecking even when the article's wording still sounds current.
- 06
Evaluate changes in controlled batches
Update one topic cluster at a time and record the URLs, substantive edits and publication dates. Repeat checks under comparable conditions and look for recurring inclusion across several review cycles. Review organic traffic and qualified inquiries separately from AI visibility.
Operator tip: Do not rewrite a page immediately after one missing citation. First check whether the answer, cited sources or AI Overview availability changed across the whole question panel.
Quick reference
Run the first AI search visibility improvement cycle
Set the commercial scope
Choose one client location, one service cluster and the buyer decision you want to support. Name the page that should help the buyer take the next step.
Freeze the baseline questions
Write 12 to 20 exact prompts. Record intent, branded or unbranded status, and any location context. Date the panel and keep later additions separate.
Capture comparable observations
Check ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Save the prompt, date, platform, answer presence, brand mention, citation URL and recommendation status. Repeat priority questions to identify unstable answers.
Select one evidence-backed gap
Inspect cited pages and choose a missing answer the client can support with verified facts. Favor a commercially important question over a broad topic with little connection to the client's services.
Approve and publish a focused change
Check the direct answer, supporting evidence, service boundaries and next step. Confirm the page is accessible and inspect the published version rather than relying only on the editor preview.
Recheck without changing the test
Use the same question panel and comparable context during subsequent weekly reviews. Record changes in mentions and citations separately, and preserve checks where the client was absent.
Report the decision, not just the appearance
Tell the client what you changed, what you observed repeatedly, what remains uncertain and what you will do next. Keep visibility findings distinct from lead or revenue attribution.
