Solved by AgentixFLO

Launch ad campaign experiments with AgentixFLO, without the manual work.

Ad campaign experiments get messy when creative revisions, platform settings and client approvals move on different schedules. By the time results arrive, your team may have changed enough variables that nobody can explain what actually worked.

How agencies do this today

The manual workflow, step by step.

For one client running one two-variant experiment, a typical preparation and reporting cycle takes about 180 minutes of hands-on work. That covers planning, creative coordination, setup checks and the results review, not the days or weeks needed to collect evidence.

  1. Step 1Time sink

Turn a client request into a testable question

Translate a request such as 'get cheaper leads' into one hypothesis, one primary outcome and a control-versus-treatment comparison. Pull baseline conversion volume and costs to check whether the available budget can support a useful test.

  2. Step 2Time sink

Build and approve controlled creative variants

Create the treatment while keeping unrelated elements consistent with the control. Chase approval on the exact copy, offer and asset versions that will run. Late edits often change several variables at once.

  3. Step 3Time sink

Configure the experiment and verify measurement

Use the platform's experiment workflow where suitable. Check traffic allocation, optimization event, budget, targeting, exclusions, URLs and attribution settings. Confirm that the intended conversion fires correctly before launch.

  4. Step 4

Monitor delivery without rewriting the test

Check for broken destinations, rejected assets and abnormal delivery. Record necessary interventions rather than quietly adjusting bids, audiences or creative during the measurement window.

  5. Step 5Time sink

Reconcile results and explain the decision

Align reporting dates and conversion definitions, allow for conversion lag, and compare the agreed outcome. Write a recommendation that separates a supported winner from a directional result or an inconclusive test.

Repeated coordination work

A typical cycle includes time spent finding the approved asset, checking whether it matches the live ad and rebuilding the same spend-and-results summary for the client.

Paid traffic that cannot answer the question

Changing the offer, audience and creative together can leave the agency with a performance difference but no clear explanation. The next cycle then spends more budget untangling the first.

Client confidence lost to premature winners

Calling a winner before delayed conversions arrive can lead to a rollout that later looks worse. The agency then has to explain both the reversal and why the original recommendation sounded certain.

The better way

The same job in AgentixFLO.

AgentixFLO brings ad channels, creative production and branded reporting into the same workflow. Allow about 90 minutes of agency work for the same two-variant cycle, including experiment design, measurement checks and approval. Faster preparation does not shorten the evidence-collection window.

  1. 1

Choose the channel and lock the comparison

    Every ad channel

Work with ads across Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and Microsoft Ads. Choose the channel that can answer the client's question, then have the media buyer define the control, treatment, allocation and settings that must remain fixed.

You approve: The hypothesis, channel, conversion event, budget, traffic split and list of variables held constant.

  2. 2

Produce creative from a controlled brief

    AI commercials

Turn the approved brief into a finished video ad and banners in every size. Specify which element changes and which elements must match the control, then review the outputs for accidental differences before using them.

You approve: The exact assets, claims, offer terms, destination and any differences beyond the intended treatment.

  3. 3

Review the ads before they go live

    Every ad channel

Use AgentixFLO for the chosen ad channel while the agency checks the experiment against its approved specification. Keep the test within one channel when the question concerns creative performance rather than channel allocation.

You approve: The final ads and client-account changes, including targeting, dates, budget and measurement settings.

  4. 4

Report spend and outcomes, then make the decision

    See every dollar

Use branded reports that tie spend to results for the client. Review those results against the experiment's decision rule, account for conversion lag and write the recommendation with its limitations.

You approve: The reporting window, interpretation, client-facing conclusion and any proposed rollout or follow-up test.

The playbook

Ad Campaign Experiments: Practical Guide

  1. 01

Define the decision before the hypothesis

Start with the action the client might take: replace a creative, change an offer or shift budget. Then define the comparison and the smallest improvement that would justify that action. Use one primary outcome, with separate guardrails for quality or economics.

Operator tip: If a winning result would not change a budget or production decision, the experiment is probably not worth the traffic.

  2. 02

Choose a design that isolates the treatment

Use randomized platform experiments where available. Keep audience eligibility, destination, optimization event and attribution settings aligned unless one is the variable under test. Simply putting two ads into one ad set does not guarantee an even or randomized comparison.

Operator tip: For a creative-concept test, multiple visual elements can change together, but the conclusion applies to the whole concept. Do not claim the headline alone caused the result.

  3. 03

    Check feasibility before producing assets

Use the baseline outcome rate, minimum detectable improvement and chosen statistical criteria to assess sample needs. Translate those needs into likely spend and duration. If the account cannot support the test, simplify the design or label the work as exploratory.

Operator tip: More variants divide scarce evidence. On low-volume accounts, a strong two-arm comparison is usually more useful than a large creative tournament.

  4. 04

Separate safety monitoring from winner selection

Set a fixed review point or use a valid sequential testing method. Monitor broken tracking, policy issues and budget guardrails during the run, but do not declare a winner each time the dashboard changes direction.

Operator tip: Define emergency stop conditions separately from performance decisions. A broken checkout warrants intervention; an early CPA swing usually does not.

  5. 05

Close the test with mature outcomes and a rollout rule

Wait for the normal conversion delay, compare aligned cohorts and assess uncertainty around the primary outcome. Check quality guardrails before expanding the treatment. Record wins, losses and inconclusive outcomes in the experiment log.

Operator tip: For lead generation, reconcile downstream qualification using consistently defined, mature cohorts. A cheaper submitted form is not necessarily a cheaper qualified lead.

Quick reference

Run one defensible ad campaign experiment

  • Write the decision statement

Complete: 'If treatment B improves [primary outcome] enough to justify [business action], without breaching [guardrail], we will [next action].' Get client agreement before production.

  • Freeze the experiment specification

Record the control, treatment, eligible audience, randomization method, allocation, destination, optimization event and attribution settings. Give the experiment a unique ID.

  • Set the evidence requirement

Use the baseline rate and smallest worthwhile improvement to assess sample needs. Set the measurement window, budget cap, conversion-lag allowance and decision method before launch.

  • Approve and test the exact assets

Check final copy and media against the specification. Open each destination, inspect tracking parameters and verify the conversion event. Save the approved versions under the experiment ID.

  • Launch and maintain a change log

Confirm delivery after launch. Record outages, disapprovals and interventions with timestamps. If an intervention changes the comparison materially, decide whether the experiment needs restarting.

  • Read mature results

Evaluate the primary outcome using the agreed method, then inspect quality and cost guardrails. Use click-through rate or engagement to diagnose behavior, not to replace a disappointing conversion outcome.

  • Record the decision and next test

Mark the outcome as supported, directional or inconclusive. Explain what the evidence permits, approve any rollout and carry the remaining uncertainty into the next hypothesis.
